Grounds maintenance is a growth sector
International Cleaning Trade Fair presents every kind of product, system and process for maintaining green spaces and outdoor areas
From 24 to 27 September the international cleaning trade fair CMS 2019 Berlin – Cleaning.Management.Services. will provide a comprehensive review of products, systems and processes covering every aspect of commercial cleaning technology and chemical cleaning products. Grounds maintenance represents an expanding sector of the market at this international cleaning trade fair. It is featured on a separate display (Hall 2.2) and the outdoor area in front of the South Entrance to the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, where the latest equipment will be tested under practical conditions. This will include a wide range of personal protective equipment (PPE) for building service contractors – ranging from protective clothing to the latest industrial safety devices. Presentations by igefa will include a 300 square-metre display on Industrial Safety in Hall 6.2, which will be organised with a number of other partners.
Heike Hemmer, Project Manager of CMS Berlin, emphasises the importance of this sector of the market: “Today grounds care is an important factor in the cleaning and maintenance of properties. That is why CMS Berlin 2019 is focusing on contracting authorities such as the representatives of municipalities, administrative bodies, procurement agencies, sports facilities and schools. This section of the display offers them a wide range of machinery, equipment and accessories for the maintenance of green spaces, for cleaning roads and paths, and for snow clearing and gritting.”
The importance of this sector at this four-day trade show is reflected by the involvement of the leading manufacturers of machinery for maintaining green spaces and outdoor areas: “For the providers of professional building cleaning services looking for long term solutions, CMS Berlin 2019 offers a comprehensive review of the market, and this is not confined to indoor cleaning”, explains Dr. Olaf Heinemann, Product Manager for Municipal Technology Citymaster, Hako GmbH. “The display dealing with grounds maintenance shows how the range on offer can be effectively expanded with the inclusion of outdoor cleaning machinery. With multi-functional solutions for year-round use the Full-Liner programme from Hako demonstrates the company’s outstanding attributes as a partner in grounds maintenance.”
CMS Berlin made its debut in 2001 and will now be taking place for the tenth time. CMS Berlin 2019 is organised by Messe Berlin GmbH. The following professional organisations are sponsors of the event: German Federal Guild Association of the Cleaning Trade (BIV), Bonn, the Cleaning Systems Trade Association in the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA), Frankfurt/Main, and the Hygiene Industry Association (IHO), Frankfurt/Main.
