Boost for CMS Berlin 2021
CMS Berlin, Europe’s leading meeting place for the industry in 2021, has received a boost from the associations supporting the event. Their involvement underlines the vital role and importance of face-to-face meetings and exchanging specialist information among industry representatives at this in-person event in Berlin.
Thomas Dietrich, National Guild Master of the Federal Guild Association of the Cleaning Trade (BIV):
“During the coronavirus pandemic appreciation and public awareness of topics relating to cleaning, hygiene and cleanliness has grown. In the fight against Covid-19, policymakers and customers have recognised how crucial this trade is in Germany to the economy. This represents a boost to our trade and also to CMS Berlin, which every two years sets the tone and showcases innumerable innovations and visions for the future. In our role as the Federal Guild Association of the Cleaning Trade (BIV) we are looking ahead with optimism to September 2021.”
Markus Asch, Chairman of the Cleaning Systems Trade Association in the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association VDMA: “The association’s members are already looking forward to the next CMS Berlin. Against the backdrop of the global coronavirus pandemic, cleaning and hygiene have become even more important. Public awareness of the need for cleanliness will continue to grow. The important thing now is for the entire cleaning industry to take responsibility for its customers and confront the growing challenges. In that context CMS Berlin has acquired a special significance. Fascinating exchanges, new contacts, innovative products and a new awareness for the topics concerning our industry await us at CMS Berlin.”
Markus Häfner, Chairman of the Building Cleaning Division of the Hygiene Industry Association (IHO):
”The coronavirus pandemic has emphasised the importance of safety and hygiene, aspects which in society are being viewed in a new and positive light. Trade fairs – and in particular CMS Berlin – provide an opportunity, subject to observance of the hygiene measures, to highlight these changes together with all the industry’s players. One of the main aims of IHO members is to present new and innovative concepts to secure long-term hygiene standards and establish them in Germany. As a meeting place for the industry CMS Berlin is indispensable for an in-depth exchange of information in Germany and Europe.”
Safety and health ensure trade fair success
“The safety and health of our exhibitors, trade visitors, partners and everyone involved in the fair have the utmost priority in the run-up to and during CMS Berlin. Our aim is to ensure the highest levels of safety at the event“, said Heike Hemmer, project manager for CMS Berlin. In close coordination with the relevant public health authority and based on the recommendations of the Berlin Infection Control Directive, Messe Berlin has established a comprehensive safety and hygiene concept for events in the age of the coronavirus and a list of FAQs for exhibitors. The concept is based on the following three principles: hygiene, physical distancing and contact tracing. Following this general concept and in accordance with the applicable directives, concepts are being developed for each event, including CMS Berlin 2021, to ensure the best possible conditions for holding them.
